New Year

Happy New Year, everyone! Thanks for your patience as I took a little hiatus to spend time with my family. My sister and my adorable nieces got back on a plane for sunny Florida early yesterday morning, and I basically spent the day in my pajamas, binging on Harry Potter movies (comfort TV), and snacking on holiday leftovers (comfort food). I hope you all had a great holiday season with friends and family, and if you’re like me, maybe you’re pulling yourself out of that post-holiday slump that happens about December 26th.

I’ve never made resolutions–I think even at a young age I knew they just weren’t for me–but this month is always a great time for renewal and hitting the reset button.  My sister gave me a beautiful gold Passion Planner for Christmas, and I can’t wait to get started with planning my career & life goals for the year.

It’s also a season for new TV shows. I’ve created a Midseason TV page so you can check out what’s coming out and when/where. “Midseason” seems like it drags in to spring now, so I’ll continue adding shows as they return through March and April.  (I’ve also kept the fall TV page up so you can see when those shows return and if anything gets cut, etc.) Personally, I’m excited for Younger to return to TV Land on January 13th, and I’m in for Telenovela on NBC. I’m also curious about a few new shows: Colony, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Shannara Chronicles, Angie Tribeca, Angel From Hell, Teachers, and Mercy Street. Oh, and it’s the final season of Downton Abbey, so get your tea and scones ready for that final episode party you plan to throw! (Or maybe that’s just me.)

Tonight, America’s guiltiest pleasure returns: The Bachelor. (Season 20!)
