Catholics, Politicians & Dowagers

New month, new shows! Here’s a look at what’s returning this week, what’s ending, and a few new spring premieres:

Blindspot, Quantico, Rosewood, and The Voice all return this week, while Agent Carter has it’s season finale tonight.

The latest family sitcom from ABC, The Real O’Neals, premieres this Wednesday at 8:30/7:30c, before settling into it’s normal Tuesday night spot next week. Happy to see Martha Plimpton get another show, but this looks like typical sitcom fare.

Also premiering this week, but changing spots next week, is The Family on ABC. (Premiere Thursday at 9/8c, then moves to Sundays.) This looks like a great cast (Joan Allen, Zach Gilford, Rupert Graves, Alison Pill, Andrew McCarthy!), but the plot, based on the promos, isn’t all that original.  I’ll tune in, at least for the pilot.

Clear your weekend. House of Cards returns for its 4th season this Friday on Netflix. (Feels fitting with “Super Tuesday” happening today.)

And of course, the series finale of Downton Abbey is happening this Sunday. It seems only right to give it a proper send-off with full English tea. Get the scones and tea sandwiches ready!
