New month, new shows!
Here’s a look at what’s coming and going this week:
I have a bad feeling about the finale of 11.22.63 on Hulu…something tells me Jake won’t complete his mission. This 8-part series has had its ups and downs for me, but I do enjoy the music and setting. It needs just a touch more of Stephen King’s creepiness, in my opinion–in fact, my favorite episode of the season was episode 2, which had an uneasy, Halloween horror vibe to it.
The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story concludes on FX, and even though we know the outcome, this series has been a fascinating watch all season. I predict this one is going to clean up at all the award shows.
The new season of The Odd Couple premieres on CBS at 8:30/7:30c.
American Idol comes to an end after 15 seasons. I only watched a few seasons (3, 4, 5, 6, and 10, specifically), but I’m thankful it gave us Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Hudson!
Season 2 of Catastrophe hits Amazon.
The much-anticipated season 2 of Outlander begins on Starz. This was easily one of my favorite shows last season, and I’m eager to see what happens as the story moves from Scotland to France. (I’ve only read the first novel, as they are a huge time commitment like Game of Thrones.) One of the sexiest romances on the small screen…you should be watching if you have Starz!
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC for a new season at 9/8c.
Steven Soderbergh’s work is hit or miss for me, but his new series on Starz, The Girlfriend Experience, does look intriguing. I can’t tell if it’ll be sexy or depressing, but it debuts at 8/7c if you’re curious, too.
FYI: If you have DIRECTV, they’re running a free weekend for Starz from April 7-11!
